Why vote for Rainbows? Well the answer is simple. Our Policies are realistic, achievable and environmentally friendly as well. If elected, we will implement solutions to not only improve our already high standards living for the short term but also for the long term. By voting rainbow, you are voting for a colourful future.
1. Price on carbon tax:
We are investing in renewable energy as a short term solution but our solution to carbon tax is mature and worthy for the long run. Our leader, Maddy Marsland, has suggested brilliantly that instead of taxing patents more, we continue to tax them normally, but invest that money using it to assist other countries reduce their methane and carbon emissions, therefore not only reducing carbon levels in Australia but also taking it worldwide. Also that money is going to be used for research on improving renewable energy, technology and resources.
2. Asylum Seekers:
Natural Justice for all. Australia's justice extends beyond our borders The High Court said- We do
not accept everyone but we hear their case. So we have a solution for after they have heard their case. As we know, new people from overseas will boost our economic confidence in the long term. Rainbow Coalition have decided to set up shelters for them, give them education by our volunteer national Australian service in return for them to community service and contribute to Australia to one way or another.
3. National Broadband Service:
Internet is the basis of World Communication. In this technological age, we are becoming more and more reliant on the World Wide Web. But when people say that everybody is going to get internet in a form one way or another, that isn't always the case. So for them, we are subsidising and agreeing with the Liberal Parties' policy by providing 97% of Australia with wireless internet. For the remaining 3% we will provide them with dial up internet, while not the greatest technology, is better than no internet at all.
4. National Service
Having problems with Australia's National Service? We do national service by helping the asylum seekers. In return we get an award which is university friendly and job friendly. This is an optional opportunity for young adults. We will campaign to them and encourage it and if they find it interesting and have an interest in learning then they are free to join. We will also provide them with employment afterward because they have to contribute to the government.
5. Lowering the voting age:
Many young people want to have voting rights like their parents. We considered giving them the time to have 'L' plates for voting for 16-18 but then we decided to go against it. While there are some who pay great attention to current affairs, too many teens are indifferent and will likely see voting as a chore or burden instead of a privilege.
6. Gay Marriage:
Legalize Gay marriage! Gay people are just as equal as everybody else. They need to be given rights the same as normal marriage constitution are given. Gay marriage should be legalized. Homophobia is as bad as racism.
7. Improvising public transport:
We have to improve our public transport system because cars and trucks and buses are another reason for the carbon emissions. Instead of pointlessly widening more freeways and highways, we are going to:
- Encourage more people to use it
- Able to put it as a priority
- Advance the transport technology, more efficient
8. Campaign Organ Donations:
Our strategy towards organ donations is simple: eligible candidates will sign a contract if they want to donate their organs to the people in need. Right now there is a long waiting list for organs so by promoting and informing people of this worthwhile cause, we can reduce those in need of organs and help others to make a life-changing decision which could change someone's life.
